Baltimore Applique Quilt designs utilize the traditional flowers, fruits and other forms employed by the Baltimore, Maryland quilters during the Victorian period. The original quilts leaned heavily upon dark reds and greens in color, but feel free to use your own color preferences. Shown at the right is a 9 patch screenshot. You can use them this way and not have to worry about placement on one large block of fabric. In the pictures below, the two on the left are the designs. The right hand column shows them combined into one block. There are 12 matching outline designs included. Scroll down to see how many variations you can make with just 3 of these designs.

These are screen shots showing the many variations you can make with just 2 of the designs. Baltimore Quilts usually are composed of many different blocks, rather than repeating blocks, so this display will hopefully give you plenty of ideas as to how to combine the designs.
