These cute characters are designed for the 4" hoop. Check out the special "mugs" that have missing ears. Those ears can be added by making them out of ultra suede or felt. NEW: I have now included stitchouts for each set of ears. I suggest you stitch out these ears on cut-a-way stabilizer and use these for the templates for the floppy ears. Instructions are included in the stitch and color chart that comes with this set. You have the option of sewing or gluing them on. The project below shows how this is done.

The Picture
to the left shows a project
using the "puppy without ears" design to make a pocket design for the child's jumper. Stitch out the design
that says puppy ear for a template . The
ear is cut from ultra suede, felt or something that will not fray and attached along the top edge to allow it to "flop"
like a real ear and give
the puppy a three dimensional character. Using varigated thread makes this puppy look much more life-like.
